In the week ending Jan. 31, one gas station in Houston County sold regular gas at the lowest reported price of $2.22 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for regular gas in Houston County averaged $2.56 per gallon.
Houston County had 55 of 117 reported gas stations offering regular gas.
Across Georgia, the average reported price for a gallon of regular gas fell to $2.62, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
