U.S. Representative Austin Scott expressed his approval following the House’s passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. In a statement, Rep. Scott highlighted key components of the legislation that he believes will benefit various sectors.

Rep. Scott emphasized the significance of updated reference prices for farmers, marking the first update since 2018. He described this as “a huge and overdue relief for the agricultural industry.”

The bill also includes tax relief measures aimed at benefiting all Americans. Notably, it contains a provision introduced by Rep. Scott to assist combat-disabled Purple Heart recipients. This provision offers a one-year tax credit to offset any loss in Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits for those re-entering the workforce.

Rep. Scott described the bill as “a victory for America’s farmers, veterans, and taxpayers,” and called on the Senate to pass it promptly.
