Houston County Career Academy recently issued the following announcement.
StoryWalk
October 15-17
We are excited to partner with the Downtown Perry Merchants’ Coalition to present a new literacy event for our community!
StoryWalk is a way for children and adults to enjoy reading and the outdoors simultaneously by taking pages from children’s books and placing them along paths for participants to read as they walk. Select stores in downtown Perry will post pages form a storybook in their window for families to read. There will be activities for the whole family along with a special prize for the first 100 children.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson
