City of Perry issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
The derby car race is headed back to Washington Street on Saturday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. The event is free to watch and lasts until 2:00 p.m.
Whether you seek the thrill of a downhill race or prefer to cheer from the sidelines, the Perry Gravity Grand Prix offers plenty of excitement for all ages. The event will feature food trucks, music, and the best derby cars in Georgia.
Spectators are asked to bring bag chairs and watch from the sidelines as the derby cars race down Washington Street for the ultimate prize of being named the Perry Gravity Grand Prix Champion.
Road closures, beginning at 8:30 a.m., will include Washington Street, beginning at the Public Safety Building and ending at Sun Beauty Supply.
