2022 Gifted Education Referral Information
Gifted and Talented Education referral forms may be picked up in each school's office during the month of January. Completed forms must be returned by 3:15 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022.
Students in grades kindergarten through twelve in the Bleckley County School District who demonstrate a high degree of intellectual, academic, and/or creative ability are provided with instructional services by the Program for Gifted Students. Eligibility criteria for placement in this program are determined by the State Board of Education. Referrals for consideration for eligibility for gifted services may be made by teachers, counselors, administrators, parents or guardians, peers, self, and other individuals with knowledge of the student’s abilities. Testing will take place February through May 2022.
Referral forms for possible gifted evaluation are accepted each year during the month of January. These forms may be picked up from the principal’s office at each school during regular school hours. A parent referral form is available below or by clicking here. Completed forms must be turned in at the principal's office by 3:15 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022.
