Traveling overseas for spring break? Check with your doctor to be sure you and your kids have received the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine before you leave Minnesota. Measles is still common in other parts of the world. People who have not had the MMR vaccine are at risk of getting sick with measles.
Call your doctor if anyone gets a fever and rash within 3 weeks of returning from your trip to describe where you traveled. To learn more, visit www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/measles/basics.html.
