The latest movie from filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, titled "Police State," will be shown at a Centerville movie theater on October 23 and October 25.
D’Souza expressed surprise at the need to make a movie like "Police State" in an interview with Warner Robins Today, stating, "I honestly wouldn't have believed, prior to the 2020 election and prior to Biden coming to office, that I’d be making this movie." He believes that the country has rapidly embraced a police state mentality on multiple levels.
The film delves into the origins of this activity, starting with the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the introduction of the controversial "Patriot Act." It also explores more recent instances, such as the COVID-19 lockdowns, social media censorship, the prosecution of concerned parents at school board meetings, and the surveillance and detention of individuals who were in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021.
“Police State” features D’Souza, as well as seasoned actor Nick Searcy, and interviews with U.S. House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R), radio host Dan Bongino, and a number of government whistleblowers.
The film's trailer has already garnered 74 million views on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
In addition to the Centerville theater, the movie will also be shown in Atlanta, Brunswick, Evans, Savannah, and other communities.
