More students enrolled in Pulaski County's only school district in 2022-23 school year

The only school district in Pulaski County had rising enrollment in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

There were 1,235 students in the halls of Pulaski County School District, 5.7% more than the year before.

Enrollment in Pulaski County bucked the state's trend compared to the state's trend of decreasing enrollment.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were male, and 49% were female.

The most represented ethnicity among Pulaski County School District students was white, accounting for 46% of the student population.

Pulaski County School District has a main office in Hawkinsville and is the only school district within Pulaski County.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
