U.S. Representative Austin Scott has been renamed as the Vice Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee and will serve as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities, Risk Management, and Credit for the 119th Congress.

"I'm honored to continue serving as Vice Chair of the House Agriculture Committee under Chairman GT Thompson's leadership," Rep. Scott stated. "I look forward to working with the Trump Administration and my colleagues in Congress to pass a Farm Bill that works for production agriculture and to rectify many of the policies that make it more difficult for the best stewards of our land to do their jobs."

In addition to his roles in agriculture, Rep. Scott will maintain his positions on several other committees: the House Armed Services Committee, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the House Rules Committee.
