FOIA Request to Pulaski County Election Department Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.

As a media organization committed to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Warner Robins Today have submitted a request under the Georgia Open Records Act § 50.18.70 et seq., for records of all candidates running in the upcoming election.

The requested information includes the first, middle, and last names of each candidate, the office they are running for, their jurisdiction of office, and party affiliation. We have also asked for contact information for each candidate which includes their address, phone number, and email address.

Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities as journalists. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.

We look forward to receiving this important information from the Pulaski County Election Department and will continue to keep our readers informed about the upcoming elections.
