WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The U.S. House of Representatives today passed H.R. 6983, legislation introduced by Rep. Austin Scott (GA-08) to rename the U.S. Postal Office in Lakeland, Georgia, the "Nell Patten Roquemore Post Office" after late constituent and former Lakeland Postmaster Nell Patten Roquemore, by a vote of 368-2.
